Using Cascading Style Sheets, it is possible to change the colours of the scrollbars on the webpage - although it's a feature that is only supported by Internet Explorer.

On the whole, though, you shouldn't. I know, I know: It's fun and cool and it's a great little trick but the scroll bar is part of the browser not part of your website. Changing it is like having one side of a picture frame a different colour to the others. It's out of place.

However, frames - such as the iframe this section is in - can mean that scroll bars are put inside the webpage rather than on its edge. Here you can play with the scrollbars and make them match your site. Indeed, it will look worse if you don't.
